After 35 years, there are still surprises

It’s so refreshing to know that after 35 years of drawing live event caricatures I can still be surprised with something new!

This past weekend I got a lot of practice drawing ladies with headscarves at an engagement party for some lovely Afghan people in VA.

It was just like a wedding and there were about 100 guests. Suuuuuuch good food too! (They made sure I ate something! lol) I have a couple of videos I took with the meta glasses that I’ll share later too.

And before that, I got to draw Veronica’s family and friends at her 50th birthday party- which I think maybe I’ve only done one of those before but this one was quite a large event with awesome hip hop, Caribbean and African music and amazing looking cajun food.

It was a very fun weekend and several new experiences for this old dog!
